Questions

Before OVEN goes on the bowl

01Which size should I choose?

25 mm is the all-round size for most bowls. For large bowls or terrace service, consider 26 mm. Choose 27 mm if you work with larger cubes for longer sessions. Match the cube count and spacing to your own equipment.

02Can I start with just one case?

Yes. Minimum order: 20 kg. Shipped in 20 kg master cases. The catalogue lists the number of packs in a case for each format.

03What do you need to quote my order?

Include your destination and the packs you are considering. Add quantities if known; your manager can help with the selection. An OVEN manager will get back to you within 24 hours.

04Can you deliver to us?

We deliver worldwide. Your manager works out the logistics for your destination and quantity, then agrees the route, cost and timing with you before dispatch.

05What does the guarantee cover?

Our charcoal comes with a full money-back guarantee, including delivery, or a replacement batch by agreement.

06What is OVEN made from?

Coconut shell, tapioca and water. No chemical additives or ignition accelerants. Tapioca binds the charcoal into a cube.

07How do you keep track of each batch?

We make OVEN to our own specification. Every batch is checked under internal procedures, labelled and entered in one shared database. We can look up its origin and recorded quality.

08Which packs can I order?

6 English packs: 25 mm — 0.5 kg Retail box, 0.5 kg EcoPack; 26 mm — 1 kg Retail box, 1 kg Venue pack; 27 mm — 1 kg Retail box, 1 kg Venue pack. Each master case contains 20 kg of charcoal.

09Does the charcoal have a shelf life?

Store in a dry place, in closed boxes, away from heat sources. Keep master cases off the floor. Shelf life is unlimited when storage conditions are met.

10How long does a cube burn?

The production specification requires ≥ 90 min of burning time. Session duration depends on the bowl, equipment and how you manage the heat.

11How many cubes should I put on a bowl?

That depends on your bowl and heat management device. A 27 mm cube takes up more space than a 25 mm cube, so check both the count and spacing when changing sizes. The catalogue lists cubes per pack and calculated average cube weight to help you work out consumption.

12How do I light OVEN charcoal?

Use a heat source: an electric hob, gas burner or charcoal heater. OVEN contains no ignition accelerants. Turn the cubes so both sides heat through; they are ready when red throughout with a grey surface.

13Does it spark, smell or smoke?

The OVEN specification calls for no odour, sparks or smoke during lighting and use. The charcoal contains no chemical additives or ignition accelerants.

14How much ash does it leave?

The packaging declaration for ash after use is: minimal, up to 3 %. It applies to every cube size.

15Can we get samples to try on our bowls?

Ask for samples through the partner form and mention the sizes and equipment you use. Your manager will discuss the sample selection and delivery with you.

16Is the charcoal different in the English packs?

English refers to the packaging artwork. Ingredients and specification are shared across the range; choose the size and pack for your bowl, shelf or service.
